Melissa: K...I get Randy something SUPER corny each year for VDay. I think his memory is so horrible he really does forget because he always acts so SURPRISED!! Just did red and silver kisses this year, but all I could get a few weeks in advance with little funds. He was thrilled and then called me all sorts of funny names. He liked it. Hope to call this weekend if you would let me know when is good for you.

Jerry: Oops! My mistake. I didn't describe the problem correctly. The problem is, no border around the text boxes for Name, URL or the msg box itself.
Jerry: Merry Christmas Shelli! Thanks for letting me know that you stop by once in awhile. And, I really enjoy your flower photos. One other thing. I'm having a problem with your tag board, but maybe no one else is. The background in the tag box (text box) is the same as its surroundings and I can't see where to type the message. I used Netscape and IE and was finally able to put the cursor somewhere to get a start with IE.

Injuries and bad eating

Last week while jumping, I hurt my ankle.  I didn't even realize it until my ankle started feeling tight.  Of course now that I've taken another week off, I'm not eating well either...I need help.

Maddi and I exercised on Tuesday as well.  We ended up only doing 3 circuits because Maddi was worn out, but we did exercise.  Wednesday is a day off, so tonight we'll be back at it.

I did it!

The alarm went off an hour too early this morning, it's too bad that it was the time I had to get up. I pushed the snooze alarm...then it went off too fast...I crawled out of bed, brushed my teeth , had a glass of water and went to wake the sleeping teenager in the next room Maddi had told me that she would come with me.  I waited to try until I was dressed.  She still told me that she was too sore to go.  She promises she'll come tomorrow.


Today was an odd day diet and exercise wise.  I did the exercise, but I didn't "diet".  I didn't eat too much for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner I ate a second piece of garlic bread, it was just SO tasty and then I had dessert, someone made it special and twisted my arm, I promise. 

I am listing below the exercises that I did today, just to give you an idea of what I am doing, I won't be posting what I did each day, that would be a boring read.

Ok, here's what I was supposed to do in my workout today and what I actually was able to do for reps follows:

5 Min Cardio Warm Up

Circuit one

Pushups-          3 sets of 15       I did- 1 set of 15 girl ups (my knees down), 2 sets of 8 girl ups

Squats-            3 sets of 15                 3 sets of 15

Circuit 2
Dumbbell chest flys-     3 sets of 15 (at whatever weight you could keep your form) - I did- 3 sets of 15 with 5lbs in each hand.

Sumo Squats-  3 sets of 15           I did- 3 sets of 15 (yes these do look quite funny, actually a lot like a sumo wrestler stance)

Circuit 3

Bench dips- 3 sets of 15- I did sets of 15/6/7  (yep my triceps and shoulders are a bit weak)
Leg extensions- 3 sets of 15-  I did at 20 lbs- 9, then I changed to 10 lbs and did 2 sets of 6

Circuit 4

Lateral raises -
3 sets of 15-   I did these with 3lb weights in each hand and did sets of 15/8/9
Jumping jacks for 1 minute-  I did it!
Basic Crunches- 3 sets of 15-  I did this too..I'm getting better...

Circuit 5

Tricep extensions-
3 sets of 15, I did sets of 15/15/10 with 5lb weights in each hand
Jump rope 1 minute-  I did this, but without a jump rope, though I figure I looked a little silly without the rope.

5 minutes cool down-  Then 45 minutes minimum of cardio at 85% of heartrate

What I did... 5 minute cool down...  Yep that's it. 

I weighed today, I was 210.08.   I won't weigh again until next week, but I'll be giving you my measurements in the next couple of days.  Really you don't want to see those numbers...

It begins....Again

I have taken the last 6 weeks or so off of exercising.  I have realized that I just don't feel as good without exercising, so I'm opting to feel awful for a couple of weeks while my muscles adjust to exercising again. 

Since I am such a big fan of the "Biggest Loser" shows, I decided to read Jillian Michael's book, "Winning by Losing".  I have an exercise program to follow for the next twelve weeks.  My goal is to weigh and measure only once a week, and then post what those numbers are as well as how often I exercised that week.  If I get really wild and crazy, I'll post what I do each day, but since I am a habitual non-blogger, it may be difficult for me to do.

I am going to give Blogger a try since it comes so highly recommended.  So far I prefer Bravenet, I can do more customization.
